Raised in Topanga, California, the ginger-haired beauty was raised on a steady diet of sunshine, fresh air and a very healthy dose of mischief. “I’m Irish, but because I was raised in California, I love being free and having fun,” she says. “As a result of my upbringing, I’m totally wild at heart. California’s an amazing place to grow up, full of things to see and do—even if I was grounded, I’d sneak out and go to the beach.” The embodiment of the girl next door, Dominique isn’t afraid to stand out and be one hundred percent herself. A lover of all things outdoorsy, she spends her time hiking, horseback riding and traveling, and when she’s not modeling, she’s working as a dancer. “I’ve been a full-time model and performer for a while, and one of my favorite gigs was touring with Kanye West,” says Dominique. “I was a backup dancer on the Yeezus tour. That was a really amazing experience!” We don’t like to brag, but we think being Miss August is Dominique’s new favorite gig. When we approached her to shoot for Playboy, she jumped at the opportunity. “You know, it was something I always wanted to do,” she says. “I never thought it would actually happen.
